Anyone else had a chance to try the la aurora cien anos? I had one when they first came out and thought they needed some extra time in the humidor. After 6 months I pulled one out today and found they were still a little young and needed more time to calm down. Anyone else run into this with this brand and figured out a good timetable on when these reach ideal smoking, they look great but I am growing impatient.

I've had cigars that took a year or two of aging in my own humidors to suit my palate. Be patient, if you're alive and healthy, it will be there for the smoking some day. :D

Hey Alex. I smoked the First of my box, which I got in October.
I thought the cigar could be a little more harmonized with it's flavors, I think some more time will help that, I still scored it fairly high. I actually picked up some old cheese tones and an almost meaty texture, it was pretty unique as far as aroma and flavor. Cant wait to explore these as they get a little older!

I wish they still made these....what a great smoke. Shame they'll be gone soon.

This was definitely one of my favorite smokes. While I agree that six months to a year would probably help, I don't think I have the will power to wait and see.

I have the better part of a box sitting in my humi for almost a year. Not sure if I will ever get to them. I may have to revisit one soon just to see.

Craig, if you want, I can keep those cigars for you.

You can just PM me for the addie.

Hey Craig, I wouldn't want to see you put all that burden only on Bikeman's shoulders  you can PM me if you want me to help take that gargantuan weight off your shoulders (or just half of it and give the other half to bikeman) LOL

Wowsers!! 7 months later, and I still have one of these hanging around, I will have to smoke it now, and let you guys know how it went!!
