On average, I tend to go through an 18pk of bottled beer per week. Those steaks on the grill just dont allow a beer case to last the week. However, I get tired of not only carrying the cases into the house from the grocery store, I get tired of dealing empty bottles. Im thinking about maybe setting up a dedicated keg system. Something I can have my favorite beer on tap and just fill up my mug as i feel like it.

Anyone setup their own tap system ?

Last year I remember seeing a keg fridge including a tap on sale at Home Depot. It would be really neat to have one, but I really dont drink enough beer to justify it (I could start, but that really isnt a good idea!). If I had one, it would be full of Guiness, Fat Tire, or Newcastle - I really love all three of those out of a keg!

Fat Tire? What a great beer! If only they made it available in PA!

My son in law has a tap system out by the pool, an old fridge in the garage holds the keg & co2 bottle, the tap is outside the garage right next to the pool deck, the frosted mugs are in the top of the fridge, so you need to get one before you pull the tap handle, the entire set up was about 150 bucks that includes the gas bottle & keg,, he has coors light , ( THE WIMP) on tap now, but in the summer he plans on putting in a Qtr. of Ginness
Enjoy, Vince
