I just heard from a friend that Bjarne Nielson died of a massive heart attack recently. His pipes are masterpieces of pipe work. He will be missed.

Well, the masters of pipe making are getting older. Fortunately, there are some up and coming makers who can fill there shoes......

What?? I just met the guy at McCranies here in charlotte about a month ago.

This is sad news indeed. I met him a few weeks ago at Smitty's in Gainesville. Great guy and one heck of a pipe carver. He will be missed.
