Hi, I’m a pretty new cigar smoker, only about a year. I only smoke one a week. My problem is, my cigars start off tasting great but after 1/2 to 1 hour the flavor completely dies and they just taste bitter and ashy. I unfortunately haven’t kept a detailed journal because I’ve definitely smoked some down to the nub. I’ve had this issue with a variety of cigars, RYJ, Alec Bradley, a bunch of others I don’t remember. I also have a problem keeping them lit towards the end, but if I smoke hard enough to keep them lit the flavor dies off faster. Any ideas? I use boveda packs in 65% although I don’t have a decent hygrometer, but the same thing happened at the smoking lounge. The only workaround I’ve found is to only smoke coronas so they’re mostly done by then anyway haha.
