I lived in Guayaquil, Ecuador for about three years with my wife that is from there and I just love the local cigars. Some are even better than the cubans I've tried.

Anyone on here have a cigar or experienced cigars from other latin countries than were excellent.

I will be moving back to South America soon and can't wait to have access to any cigar I want, cubans and ecuadorians

Cuba is simply a different beast. For better or worse is a matter of opnion. However, ask anyone on the forum and I they will tell you that I prefer my DIPLOMAS over any cigar in the world and those are made in honduras.

I've always been a big fan of Honduran cigars as well, I like them much better than anything made in the DR. I did spend about 6 months in San Pedro Sula in 1978, and acquired my taste for them at that time.

Cubans as well are in a class all there own.
