I'm thinking of a word that has six letters. If you take away one, you have twelve left over.

What word am I thinking of?

This is a stab in the dark, but was it b/c high winds blew it out? I thought it had been going longer than that.
 
Gotya, I figured it was some kind of a trick question, but now that I think about it. The Olympics were in 1976 so my answer makes no sense whatsoever. Hey, I'm drinking honeymead today, what do ya want? :wink:
