Great Forum!
Can anyone advise me on what coffee maker gives the hottest coffee?I have tried many brands and cannot get one that delivers truely hot coffee.Coffee that's almost too hot to drink. Do any of the current makers do this?I realize this is a relative term. But I'm sure you know what I mean.

Hi Acerman and welcome to the forum.
There is not really a good answer to your question. Most coffee makers are designed to brew coffee at what is considered to be the most optimal temperature for brewing without extracting biotter flavours from the grounds. That is somewhere between 180 and 200 degrees for most coffee makers. I would suggest brewing your coffee as normal and then if you like it hotter than that then put it in the microwave to get it hotter. I think this will help you get hot coffee and also avoid bitter tasting coffee from too hot of a brewing temperature. I hope this helps you.

Use a french press and then you can use water as hot as you can make it

Thanks everyone. Very good advice. The Coffee Geek helped a bunch.
