How long should sticks wait in a seperate container before you put them in with your big stach?

I dunno. I put all of mine in my humidors as soon as I get them. I have a coolidor, and two desktops and all three have a mixture of different cigars in them. My fifty count desktop I use to keep cigars I'm looking to age a little.
I often put new cigars in a Zip Lock bag and leave them there a few weeks.
I do it more so during the warm weather -
I am guessing you are worried about beetles?
I then check them & remove them from the bag.
