one more Q about my cigar jar...

there's a black vent-ish looking thing that i placed in the inside of the jar as shown in the picture at cigar.com... but what is that for? is that a humidification system? and if it is... how do i work it?

inside that black vent thing there should be a green foam type stuff. get some "cigar juice" (aka 50/50 solution, Creedo solution, PG, activator solution, propylene glycol ) and put it in there. Dont saturate it with the juice but get some in there. then top it off with distilled water. If you see your humididty start to slip after that refill the humidification device with distilled water. Every 5 or 6 months add in the cigar juice.

this stuff helps keep the humidity around 70%
