Question for the cigar gurus:

I have a few wooden cigar boxes that I'd like to reuse. That is, put a bunch of singles in 'em and then put the boxes in my foot-locker style humidor. I have more singles than I do tray space.

My question is, do I need to do anything to the boxes before I reuse them? Do I need to "season" them before I put the smokes in?

I am currently using a Cigar Oasis and RH beads in the foot-locker to keep it humidified.

i guess that depends on how long you have had the boxes out of RH. if you have a cooler or large zip lock you can season the boxes with id say do that but if not .... maybe a good wipe down would do.

thanks for the suggestion kuzi. I think I'll wipe em down a little and then put them in the humidor empty for a week or so with a digital hygrometer inside and see what happens.
