What a Surprise!

I got a small gift dropped at my office Thursday. It was wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a gift bag. I picked it up and felt a round bottle . . . "Chambord" I thought, and placed the bag in my car. Not exactly what I enjoy, but it is the thought that counts.

Imagine my surprise when I get home and unwrap the tissue paper. A bottle of Blanton's! Just my size! No sweet raspberry liqueur. Christmas came early for me!

I emailed the sender yesterday. His response was "Looks like we wear the same size."

I gotta send this guy some more business.

Very nice. And the empty with the horsey bottle cap makes a nice addition to a shelf in the home for decoration.

I put Blanton's in google, wanting to see what the bottle looked like...i love their website...that is a really neat concept...

The bottle design for Colonel Blanton's is that of the old Civil War grenade. If I remember correctly they were referred to as "pineapples".
