my humidor is a 100ct with about 35 smokes in it

question 1. I understand i should keep it at around 70 degrees temperature wise, mine is at 79 and i have no idea how to lower it, it is not in direct sunlight, infact it is on a shelf under by bed in the shade which i figured would cut down on light hitting it.

2. i bought the heartfelt industry beads and i seem to refill them very often. How often does every1 else find themselves refilling their beads

That's odd it saying 79deg, that can be bad for your smokes...Tobacco beetles can hatch (that's what i've heard will happen at 80deg). Get another gadget to measure temp and make sure that one is accurate.

I had my humi on my desk, open window, on a hot florida day, and it was reading about 72. Yours may be off a bit. Not much info, but hope it helps some!

High temp has never really been a problem for me. its about 68 deg in my room and both my humis are running 70 deg. What is your room temp? You may want to find a cooler room to keep your humidor in.
I have heat felt beads. I'm adding water every 4 or 5 days in my 50ct humi and every5 to 8 days in my 150ct humi. The rh in my room has been running 41 to 49% this winter. What is the rh in your room? This summer when the rh is in the 60 to 80% range I'm guessing I will not add water very often. hope this helps
