Tuesday morning cigar, standing . . .

in front of the 58th Street location of my favorite coffee shop, Oren's. I pulled a Ramon Allones with a brown and white band, about a Churchill size, out of my Havana Pocket Humidor and watched the world go by, sipped my coffee and waited for a freelance client to bring me some work for my home office before going in to his own job. The band also had 1837 on the front and Seleccion Privada on the back.

This cigar took at least an hour to smoke and twice while I was smoking it, I was sure that I was on the verge of tasting boiled potato skins. Another time it seemed that I was just about to taste a rich, creamy note. That was it. The rest of the time this cigar had no, absolutely NO flavor whatsoever.

Maybe I just got a bad one.

:dunno:

Taste buds are shot. The only sure fire remedy, other than sending me all your cigars, is to join us at Foxwoods on Saturday.

BTW, my Tuesday smoke was a Cuban Monte #2. Can't say as though I had the same misfortune in my cigar, as you did in yours.

What is the explanation? I know you did not burn your buds with cheap bourbon, lol.
