I have (or had) a Xikar punch cutter that I bought about 3 years ago. I have carried this in my pocket on my key ring since I bought it and though it is very scratched up and ugly, it has served me well over the years. A few weeks ago the retaining screw that holds the blade in place disappeared and the blade would not retract. I sent it back to Xikar for repair and yesterday I received a nice new one in the mail. Less than 2 weeks turn around. These guys stand behind their products.

Im glad to hear that becuase I just purchased a Xi2. Its good to know that there are still companies out there that stand behind their products.

Anyone buy one of thier lighters yet? They seem like a good deal for the price. If the quality of the lighters is comparable to the thier cutters they seem like they would be worth the money.

i have a lighter from them that i got in the group buy a while back. it lights every time. i love it.

i dont know how it compares to a colibri but i like it.

I like the Xikar lighter for a few reasons - the flame adjuster has a wheel that you don't need a tool to adjust - the button is on the side so your fingers don't get burnt - and it lights everytime!

Xikar is a Great Company!
Their Customer service it top shelf all the way!
You buys something & it will always work or they will fix/replace it
no questions asked.
What more can anyone ask for???

I concur. My wife got me the Xikar Executive for my birthday last month. I love it.

I have a few different lighters, but hte Xikar is by far my fav.

I have two of the Xikar Executive lighters and have never had a bit of trouble out of them.

I was cleaning my Xi2 a while back and, while holding the cutter at the pivot point, I managed to unscrew the screw holding the cutter together. I did manage to hold onto all the springs and screw and put it in a zippy bag and sent it back to them with a note to sharpen and reassemble the cutter. I did expect to get some minor charge for labor to reassemble the cutter, but no, they sent me a brand new one instead.

I always carry a Xi2, Executive lighter, and Xi MTX multi-tool.

I see they have a new punch out. The Xi 008. Its $40, but I'm keeping a look out for a sale or a deal somewhere.

Amen to that Castle! The first lighter I bought was a Prometheus $69.00 model. It lasted 6 weeks. I called prometheus, and they informed me that if i would pay $12.95 + shipping that they would repair it and send it pack to me. I told them, "BULLSH_T!".

I have since bought an inexpensive Colibri and it has worked great. I just thought that for a dual flame torch the Xikar was a good buy.

I have to say, I have been very pleased with my Colibri Vortex lighter. I never used to use a lighter but I was having a weak moment and it was shiny & new, and it had a built in punch(usless except for very very dire straits) so I bought it. I have to say, for the last few years I have been very pleased. This past week I purchased a XIKAR combo pack, the Executive lighter/Xi1 cigar survival kit. After all the praise that the cutter has recieved on this forum, I had to have it. I am looking foreward to some new toys and hope that they live up to my expectations.

I dropped my Xikar cutter and messed it up pretty good. Then I thought I would try to fix it and ended up with a pile of parts. So I bagged them and sent them to Xikar and in less than two weeks I had a brand new cutter. They have a customer for life in me. Great company.

Way to go Steve!! I bet they were amazed someone could make such a mess of a cutter, they felt sorry for you!!

Xikar is simply the best!
