I think my mouth is giving up on me, plus I have a cold....

Normally I smoke through it because I'm an idiot, and it only lasts longer...not this time, it, obviously, got worse

My cigars are forced into the treat of aging a week longer....

I think when I am better I'll go in full attack mode and dive into something special to celebrate!!!! hmmm....what will it be? Looks like I have some time to think about it!!

Yeah, I made the mistake of smoking through a cold recently. It was so bad that I couldn't even taste a Diploma or an Antano!

Usually when I get a cold, I get so stuffed up I can't taste anything at all! I wouldn't want to waste a good cigar by not being able to taste it.

You need to get a flu shot next fall brother man...I receive mine in November, and have yet to catch a cold or anything that would alter my tasting abilities, and I work at a clinic, so I am around the stuff every day

Flu shot, best thing ever!

Having a Flu Shot is no guarantee of not catching anything. Alot has to do with each person. I had the flu shot in November and have been on anti-biotics since mid-January (45 days of Levaquin, 30 days of Cipro and now on Doxycycline) and just yesterday came down with a cold.

Flu is a virus, not a bacteria, therefore the anti-biotics are useless. Agreed, much is to do with the individual, but for the most part the flu shot works. Granted, there are countless other viruses and infections you can catch besides flu, so, you just need to watch it

Also, I use an alcohol based hand cleaner daily, and regularly throughout the day, that works as far as keeping your hands clean

The flu shot is specifically formulated for the predicted flu strain outbreak, there are always flu virus strains that the shot recipients are not protected against. The formula sometimes misses its mark, sometimes so badly that they reissue an alternative formula. Also, it doesn't give 100% protection even against the flu strain that it is intended for. As S-10 states, it is best to take a variety of precautions. Like Cobsgirl and CBS I don't usually smoke cigars when I am not feeling well, it can make a great cigar seem mediocre.

Well, I started to feel better.....so I have smoked three since yesterday afternoon!! I knew it wouldn't last long!!!

I can breathe so I am happy, at least through one nostril!!

I should get a flu shot, or better yet some sleep!!! Good rest always helps!

What the heck is wrong that you needed that many heavy hitters? JR was fighting pneumonia after his bypass, but even he didn't need quite that many antibiotics. But, FYI, antibiotics don't do anything to prevent a cold as a cold is a virus!

your blood alcohol level must be way too low!!!
throw away the pills and drink more brandy and gin! :cheerschug:
remember I AM NOT DRUNK I AM JUST DRINKING

Nah, cigars don't call him the Terminator. They never get the chance. Cigarsmoka just walks up to his humidor, picks out a cigar, slaps it across the band and says, . . .

I'M CIGARSMOKA, BIOTCH!!!!

Wow. Why are you taking so many antibiotics???

The flu shot is only 30% effective since the flu virus mutates so much each year, the vaccine people decide which strains they think will be most prevalent and they use those in the flu shots. Flu shots are mainly effective because of the placebo effect.

What do this mean to a cigar smoker? Absolutely nothing. haha Except don't waste a cigar when you can't enjoy it
