Quick question.
I visited my local tobbaccanist yesterday and picked up some cigars.
When I was checking out, he noticed I had bought a bunch of Fuente cigars and said he had something special if I was interested. He brought out these two big boxes with the Opus X cigars. I opted for the XXX, hearing great things about the Opus Xs,
as it was the larger gauge of the two.

It was one heck of a smoke, so i went online looking to maybe order a bundle. I noticed most places don't have them, and those that do are limiting the number you can purchase. I also noticed the prices of these things. On my receipt I see I was only charged $10.30 for it -- less than half of the cheapest I found online.

Are these cigars often only available on such a limited basis?
If so, and assuming I didn't just get an "introductory" price, I guess I should go back and buy as many as he'll let me, eh, as the other Fuentes I bought were only 18¢ cheaper?

10.40 for a XXX is an outstanding deal. I'm sure at that price there maybe a limit as to how many you can buy. If I were you, I would buy 3 a day until you have the whole box. Then you can send it to me.........lol. Also the Opus will benefit from a long rest in the humidor.

You wont find a bundle of Opus unless it is fake. Most places that have them are not direct retailers rather offer them on the second market. You made a good find. You should take advantage of it. Opus are hit and miss depending on what part of the country you live in.

 And I thought I was getting a great deal paying only 14 per stick through my west coast source.
But then again, I am in California
Man, just thinking about how much I would save yearly paying 3 or 4 bucks less per Opus is making my head spin.

Nice find Magnum!

I think Mac is right, unless of course they were friends with Carlito!!

There are two Holidays which I like to stock up on Opus, that's really the only time I'll buy Opus...

My local guy sells them for just above MRSP too if he has them. He used to be a rep for fuentes I belive so he has a very nice stock of their stuff. The opus however sell out fast. Im not the biggest fan of them, I would rather have a trinidad or a high end camacho then most of the opus. I do love the don carlos, and hemingway lines though.
