Has anybody had these? They sound really good with the Sun Grown Wrapper but I don't want to just buy them because they sound good.

Nobody? Come onnnn... Are they that bad?

Is this the regular Fuente Sun Grown? Are they calling them Cubans now? If this is the regular Fuente Sun Grown, I tried one or two many years ago, and found them full of flavor, but way too strong for me to smoke one fresh. I know they are popular with people who like full flavored cigars, but they're not considered as strong as I found them to be.

I saw these tonight at the Liqeuer(sp?) Barn*they have a prett big walk in). Was considering getting one, but hadnt read anything about them. Got a bolivar 05 robusto Tubo instead :)

A buddy of mine here smoked a couple sungrowns the other night, and he says they're not as good as they used to be, although the 858 sungrown is excellent.

from the picture it looks like a Don Carlos. You don't really have anything to lose. Most if not all Fuente cigars are very good.

I do like the SunGrown wrapper as well.

Fuente just released a cigar called the King B. It is what they call a cloud grown ecuadorian rosado wrapper grown by the oliva tobacco family (not to be confused with the oliva cigar family). It is a torpedo with a black band on the foot and is fatter then the cuban belicaoso. This is all I know of it thus far. It comes in boxes of 18.

was at my local store yesterday and saw that King b, dont remember the price it was but it looked awesome
also a question about Opus X, I'm no expert but all the Opus X i have seen say Fuente Fuente on the cellophane and I have seen different sizes with this labelling.

All opus are technically named "Fuente Fuente OpusX" is the official brand name. Then you also have the fuente fuente size.

ok, thanks and just what size is the FF ?

5.63 x 46 I believe. Best opus size IMHO

thanks, brain running slow tonight as I just realized I could go to the cigar listings for Opus and look at them

Yes, they are the regular Fuente brand. They are the Chateau Cuban Belicoso. Sounds like I'll be picking these up next time I go to the shop.

But this does not sound like the original Fuente Sun Grown, released back in the late 90's. The cigars just keep on comin', don't they? Between the Perdomos, Fuentes, Ozgener's, Oliva's, etc., I think cigar smoking is going to be very interesting for a long, long time.
