Sorry you won't be making it!

(4 lunch & a smoke at the Castle)

Kevin & Robert should both arrive any moment.
Looking forward to it.
On Tap to smoke -
some 2001 Punch Churchills that are IMO smoking great!
& after lunch some 03 BBF
(Bolivar Belicosa Fina)-(the official cigar of the HCF)

I'm drinking water and coffee, but we got some good brew if
any of these guys are interested.

Sorry I couldn't make it.

I didn't get out of work until 7am this morning, worked a double but got some good news. Will share in another thread.

Scott

Kevin got to go to the castle? I hate him.

Well........... not really. But, you know.

:D :D :D

I hope you all had a wonderful time!!!

Great Time had by ALL!
Robert stayed late to meet the wife - she insisted he stayed for
another smoke!
Yes a 3 stick afternoon!
We Kevin, Robert & I had the Punch Churchills, then Kevin had to run.
It was snowing pretty bad and he had the long ride.
So Robert & I had a nice lunch (Kevin brought lunch but didn't eat)
I hadn't finished the Punch yet, but Robert was done so he moved onto a Dip#4 and we watched some cartoons - Squidbillies & Lucy Daughter of the Devil.
Then Misa made it home and we had some 01 BBF -
Really nice time guys looking forward to our next get together!

Always great to hear when forum members get together. Hopefully one day I'll have the opportunity to visit "The Castle" 8)

Axe, fly into Detroit for the weekend, and I'll drive us down!!!

I LOVE that Lucy, Daughter of the devil show. Its very rarely on here from what I can tell though. Sounds like a fun day. We really gotta have another chicago sit down.

Where do I begin with what a great visit to the Castle. First off, thanks Loren for the great Cigar and hospitality. Robert, it was a pleasure finally meeting you - thanks so much for sitting down most of the time because you made me feel like a midget. LOL. And thanks for the sticks!

Sorry I had to leave so early - got stuck on High Point Mountain for over an hour before they could clear an accident and the snow - I would be happy to do it again for such a great afternoon.

The conversation was excellent as was the coffee - damn, Scott - you definitely have to join us next time. Just the smell of the smoking room when you open the door is worth the drive! CC - your dogs are hilarious - one question - who trained them - you or your wife?

Thanks again for everything, guys- I am looking forward to our next get together. BP - it's worth the trip man, even if I show up!

LMAO!
"Mr John Gotti the 3rd" is My wife's dog
and she did all his learnings -

Butters is mine and has been with me 10 years (the wife only 5)
Rabbit is our Dog's dog & has a learning problem.
She's sweet, just not the brightest crayon in the box

I certainly know what you mean there. My Shiz Tzu Lola thinks that the outdoors is her play area and the indoors is her toilet. Its not that I've been lazy in training her, she just refuses to be housebroken. My other dog will fetch, roll over, do all sorts of tricks--Lola just looks at me like, "huh?" Sometimes I wonder if she really is a smart dog and just plays dumb as a game, but then I see her get her head stuck in the staircase ballasters and my senses come back to me.

****They got out once and took off. After not finding them after a few hours Petco called and said they had them in their back room. Now they go there whenever they get loose. After going there one time to pick them up, I said "I just don't get why they keep coming here since they don't get treats or anything and get kenneled while they're here." She looked at me and goes, "Well, we're Petco, we're where the pets go."

*For anybody not familiar with Petco, that's their slogan--or at least it was*

My husky used to run down to the pizza joint at the end of the block, they had a yellow lab there, and they would keep him until they saw me drive past them on the way home. I would get in the house, then the phone would ring. "Scott, Monte is with us!" I would go get him, and he'd be eating good! :D

We have since moved, and he doesn't run away anymore. No pizza shops for about a mile (Unusual for NJ).

For all of you who think they have a stupid dog:

A smarter dog is HARDER to train. You have to think a little different and come up with new ways each day to outsmart your dog.

That said, that is why my lab was so easy to train. Big head, but not too many brains in there. I will have to say he has been THE best hunting and family dog I have ever owned.

Beautiful dog. I love huskies. I used to have two myself but unfortunately they were regulated to the outdoors as my dad has bad allergies/asthma.

Mine were Ameroc and Nakeasha. Ameroc means wolf in Eskimo and Nakeasha didn't mean anything as I recall
