So look what appeared in my mail box. For those of you who are not apprised of the new Cuvee line that is debuting in the next 6 months, let me fill you in. It is made at Tabadom in the Dominican Republic (makers Avo, Davidoff, Cusano etc).

Cuvee is going to be made in several sizes in three different lines:

Cuvee Rouge: Regular Production item. Domincan Sun Grown wrapper.

Cuvee Blanc: Connecticut Wrapper. Regular production item.

Cuvee Grand: Limited production. 17,000 sticks per year, lancero size only.

Anywho, this brand is set to debut in the Rouge and Blanc in April and the Grand will trickle out here and there to only a few shops. To kick it off, there was a pre release preview that constituted of 275 Cuvee Grand boxes of 20. They first popped up at the Davidoff Shop in New York as part of the release party. Somehow, box 69/275 is now in my precious hands. I have never seen anything like this. Each cigar is individually hand numbered on the foot.

These have only been available in the European market for a little while before they made their way to the US. It has been a big draw over seas due to their extemely Cuban esk qualities. Let me tell you guys, these babies look amazing and are super complex. Excellent cigar.

Cigar.com will probably see only a couple boxes of Grand before the holidays if we are lucky and I anticipate them being available 3 sticks to a customer only. After that we will have open availability on the Blanc and Rouge in the Spring.

Here the Cuvee Grand stats:
batch size: 17,000
format: lancero 7" x 40 17.7 cm x 40
wrapper: dos cubanos ecuador
(proprietary)
binder: sumatra mexico
filler: Jamastran honduras
Piloto Visus dominican
san Vicente ligero dominican

Only being sold in Chicago, Boston, New York , San Francisco, Germany, Sweeden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.

MSRP is: $12.00

I wish boxes of cigars would somehow end up in my hands. :p Some of the pics are a little dark. You should send them here so I can see them a little more closely. :p

Wow. That's some very nice presentation. The Lancero vitola makes it even better.

Let us know what you think.

The Cusano guys seemed very excited about this new one at the big smoke. I can't wait to try one.
