I just wanna go on the record as saying this summer has been the.... WORST SUMMER OF MY LIFE!!!

I'll say right up front that as of yet nobody has been killed or died, so it could always be worse, but my wife came very, very close to dying a month or so back. Long story short... Shes apparently very, very, very allergic to bee sting of all things. She never was before. So one hot Sunday afternoon while working in the yard, she came across an underground yellow jackets nest, got stung a few times while running away. Sat down in the chair outside while I looked her over. All was fine, I went back to trying to figure out what cigar I wanted to smoke after working hard in the hot sun all day, when my wife started to tell me she was going dark, I'm like huh? and boom, shes on the ground making all kinds of strange noises. I called 911 and began to get lost in my mind with the fact that my wife was in big, big trouble. Later as the paramedics were just about to give her a tracheotomy on our living room couch just then she started to react to the medicine. I don't know how I kept myself from loosing my mind, I guess it all happened so fast, no time to react.

Just got back from the Bahamas were you think all was well, it wasn't bad, very high priced, ship was off schedule, kinda missed Florida, didn't get much day light in the Bahamas, all because of ERNESTO. Thanks for messing up my vacation. By the way, the Friday night ride back to NY is one I will never forget. I think, well it felt like we ran over at least 10 smaller boats.

My family is a mess right now, college, cars etc. Not much I can do about these thing except keep paying for counseling

Speaking of cars, mine needs so much work, tires, brakes. ETC. I don't know where to start with that thing?

Just capped off my summer tonight with a $400 water heater, Gotta have hot water. Was trying to pay someone else to handle it while I was at work, but... there where problems, something didn't align up right, no parts. You know the usual. so I just got done doing it myself.

I wonder whats next? I know... CIGAR BEETLES!!! That would be great.

Sorry I had to get all of you in on this, but I'm trying to make myself feel better.

When it rains, it pours,
I got hit hard last summer. Water heater, tires, ac/heater and lawn mower all from July 4 thru Aug. 27. It sucked!!!
I feel for you, man.

Go ahead and vent brother!
It's the only way to prevent going postal, IMHO...You also need a good smoke and a stiff drink. 8)
We're here for ya!

Two words for your wife... EPI-PEN!!! Get two, and keep them around the house/ in her purse. I am sure that is the drug you are refering to, Epinepherine.

Way to keep the negativity going !:p Just kidding. Bad things seem to come in spells like this. Stay positive and Karma might just bring you some gook luck for a change,

Don't worry brother, we all need to vent every once in a while, and who is better at listening than us. Keep plugging along, there is light at the end of this tunnel for sure!

Now I'm worried about my water heater. It's old. Very old. *finger's crossed.* Now that I own my own house I've gotta worry about that stuff.

quagmire's right. Just think of all the good Karma coming your way.

Brenda, did you have it inspected before you moved in? if not it may be worth having someone come to look at it. BUT I have not had my water heater turned past Vacation in 4 months. The water is heated right out of the ground. LOL

The inspector told me "Hey, that's really old. You may want to start thinking about getting a new one." . . . great.

Let it our brother. We have big shoulders and are here for you.

Btw, I just put a new hot water heater in this past weekend. Fun, fun fun...

But then I'm also very thankful I could do it and that funds and such were available.

Thank you all for your support. I can always cant on the fine people of this site to cheer me up.
