Usually, beer or a light micro brew ale for me. Sometimes, I get bored, as one does with the attention span of a gnat.

So my 'go-to' Summer drink is Lynchburg Lemonade.

Jack Daniel's
Triple Sec
Sour mix
Sprite.

Lynchburg Lemonade, huh? That looks tasty. I've just completed an order which will bring me a bottle of Appleton Estate V/X rum, to go with some left over rums from the past couple of years. I'm getting into sipping straight rum during the summer, although I'll probably still go for my girly drink experimentations this year, with juices, fruits and things.

As for my summertime standard "Bombagina," which is one part Bombay Sapphire gin to four parts Orangina, I'm still waiting for the right deal on the Bombay Sapphire. :sm_angel:

Summer , Fall, Winter , Spring, Coffee, single malt & a sip of Brandy ( home made of course ) here & there, Nothing changes much, I have been in a groove for a few years & it works for me, ,,,,, if it aint broke dont try to fix it !hahaha

Enjoy, Vince

I enjoy Sapphire and Tonic with lime and a salted rim.

I'm gonna have to try this Lynchburg Lemonade.

Summertime

For a large gathering of friends, a frosty keg of Deschutes IPA, served in red plastic SOLO cups of course.

For a quieter evening, a Grasshopper or Chopin Vodka and tonic with a strong twist of lemon.

mmmm... Appleton's!

Well, Bloof.. if I had known your affinity for Appleton's... I could have brought you one back. I still could have brought back one more liter of alcohol! We just got back this weekend from our honeymoon in Jamaica. Plenty of summer drinks there, I found. I fell in love with Jamaican Delights... My wife really enjoyed the dirty banana.... the drink, too... and Purple Rain's... I brought back some rum... and some cream liquers... a Blue Mountain coffee cream and some rum cream. I should say something on the coffee/tea board about the Blue Mountain coffee beans I brought back with me!

Welcome back, Frank, and congratulations. I was reading about your wedding on Cigars. Terribly sorry about the camera, it would have given better quality pictures than the disposables, but at least you'll have pictures, and some of those disposables don't do a bad job at all.

As for Appleton's, truthfully, I don't know a ding dang thing about Appleton's various rum offerings, except that a lonnnnggg time ago, back in my holiday egg nog days, I bought it once, the regular line Appleton's. I've always understood that their rums are well regarded, so when the weather turns unbearably hot, I'll have the V/X to sip and post a review.

Glad you're back safe and sound. All my best and The Lord's blessings to you, your wife and your families.
