I am trying to decide what RH I want for the beads im going to buy.
Here are the conditions they are going to be used in:
75ct desk top with about 50 sticks in it
Hot in the summer cold in the winter. we dont use AC much if at all
No direct sunlight on the humi but the room it is in does get AM light.

I know that 70* 70% is ideal but i realize that the 70* isnt going to happen. how much of a problem is that? what is the real difference between 60 and 70% RH? is 65% the best of both worlds?

if i get a higher temp should i use a lower humidity? or does it not matter at some point?

that was a lot of questions.

I like the way most cigars smoke at 65%. Not too hot from being dry, and draw is perfect from not being too wet. There are some cases you'd want it higher or lower, but I would spring for the 65%'s.

"is 65% the best of both worlds?"

Yes, go for an average year round humidity level of 65.

All I buy is 65%
But i just do that because thats what everyone else says.

Everyone else is right. :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :cryinlaugh: :sm_angel: :sm_angel: :help: :help:

I'd recommend the 65 beads as well. With this RH setting you'll always have a little wiggle room in your humi for the RH to go up or down.

I've got 65% and it works grate for me. I am able to keep my ISOM humidor at 60 to 62% using 65% beads. I just had to find the right balance # of cigars, amount of beads, and amount of water I put in the beads. I'd get the 65% beads. Thats my $0.02
