Lost in translation
I am so upset right now I can barely type. The house that I had an offer on also had a contingency to sell my house. So the seller could still show it for a buyer that did not have a contigency to sale. Today I got a call that they had another offer. I have 48 hours to decide if I will withdraw my offer or remove the contigency and go forward with the purchase. There is no way I can remove the sale contingency; so I have to withdraw my offer. UGGGGHHH!. The house was perfect. It filled all of our needs. Now I have to find one like it. Oh well. Maybe we will find a better one for less money. Who knows.

Thanks for reading my rant. I really need a drink right now, but have to go to my night job instead.

Man that sucks. We had something similar happen earlier this year. As my wife always tells me, everything happens for a reason. Best of Luck!!!

Dave I'm really very sorry to hear this. I will be praying that y'all find something better. We had a very similar situation a couple years ago when our dream house (at the time) slipped right through our fingers just when we thought it was ours. I hurt then but we now know it just wasent the place for us and are much happier where we are.

Anyway, your in my prayers and thoughts.

So sorry to hear that Dave. Hopefully you will be able to find another one to your liking.
Any chance of NOT withdrawing your bid and lowering the asking price on your present house?

Things generally work out for the best, big dissapointment non the less

Sounds bad now but the next one you find will make you happy you did not get this one.

Best of luck

there are more fish in the sea....

i mean, houses on the market. However, it is hard to have it so close and then have it slip through your fingers.

we are rootin for ya!

sorry to hear phish, my wife and i just finished looking for a house for about 4 months, finally found one and are closing june 15, but we too found one earlier that was perfect in all respects but it went under deposit the day we were ready to make an offer...such is life...as many people have told me, even our real estate agent, if its meant to be its meant to be and if it isnt, you'll find one that is

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Dave.... Keep at it though as things have away of working out in the long term.

I think I am almost over it. The wife started looking on the internet the other night and already has 3 she wants to look at. One looks like a solid possibilty.

I hate it when something like that happens, but everything has a purpose, sometime it just takes us time to discover it.

Good luck in your house hunting adventure brother!
