... Acid?

A friend of mine told me that many cigar aficionados such as yourselves don't tend to care for Acids, but I enjoy their highly unique flavor. I've tried the Nasties, and the ones that come in packs of five in a small plastic bag.

I am not sure as though there is widesread distaste, it is just that most people dont consider them actual cigars. I enjoy the occassional kuba kuba. The natural line is not bad either.

I like them and also enjoy CAO flavors not all the time
but they are nice here and there .
They also make my humidors smell nice.
................................ANT :D

i smoke the kuba kuba. had "the egg" it is different. the ambrosia is a variation of the acid but not flavored so strongly, will have to try cao. i am not a cigar aficinato, just a guy that smokes ALL types of cigars, if i dont like, i just dont buy again.

Different strokes

The greatest pleasure of smoking a cigar is in the flavors of the pure cured tobacco. It's not that Acid is a bad product. On the contrary, I believe Acids are certainly better than cigarettes (even better than most drug store cigars). It's just that someone who has a developed palate for fine tobacco generally won't enjoy an Acid in the quite the same way. Having said that, I'll have an Acid every now and again. It's just a different experience - certainly a valid one.

you have to ask yourself a question, do YOU like them?? if so, then who cares what everyone else thinks, are you smoking for other people, or are you doing it for your own enjoyment? personally i love acids and if someone ever complained and said i wasnt a "cigar purist"...oh well, at least i will always have an enjoyable half hour in my opinon

You also have to ask yourself if you like tobacco. I smoke cigars because I have a genuine affection for fine tobacco. An Acid cigar is, as are most flavored cigars, made of sub-grade tobacco. What you would not smoke unflavored. The flavoring is added to hide the poor taste of the tobacco used. Just my opinion but I'd rather have a snickers bar than a flavored cigar. Hell if I'm having a sweet tooth I'm going for a candy bar. If I want to enjoy tobacco at it's finest, I'm going to smoke a premium cigar. I don't consider that a snobish type attitude, we are just talking two very separate products. Somebody who regularly smokes flavored cigars, I would not consider a cigar smoker, but somebody who likes the idea of a cigar and has no idea what they are doing. The real question is do you like tobacco, or do you like to be seen with something that looks like tobacco in your hand?

The more I read of nmcowboy as the years go by, the more I think I have a cousin in New Mexico.

Hey Dopey, Those little tiny ones that look like joints after they are smoked down a bit are called C-Notes. Id be careful walking around with one of those lol. Sumatra wrapper I believe http://www.DrewEstate.com . I wanted to know how they are? I have been looking for a small cigar that I can pull out when I dont have much time. So, how are they? how long does it take to smoke them? etc.. fill me in before I buy.

On a side note, I am mostly flavored cigar smoker. I started off with CAO Moontrance. But all the flavors are very nice esp. Eileen's Dream. Smoked 1 Phillies strawberry Blunt. I apologize to the Cigar gods; it will never happen again. the wrapper looked like paper bags you get at Kroger. I enjoy ACID's and love them. Blondie is great, but my favorite and I think everyones fav ACID is KUBA KUBA! the aroma is very pleasing and strong. Heavenly Vanilla also has been very pleasing. Give them a try!

I really like the C-Notes. They take about 12 minutes or so to smoke, so they're relatively quick. I usually have one when I'm in a good "cigar" mood, as opposed to a special occasion that involves a nice Cohiba or something. And thanks for the recommendation on the Kuba Kubas. I'll be picking one up next time I go to the smoke shop.

had c-notes a couple times, their good, but small. dont look like the joints i used to smoke, and last only a few minutes. but taste good

A few years ago I smoked thew Blondies, I can't handle them now, maybe once in a great while when I need a real change of pace...A little too sweet for my liking...

yea, those blondies are good. I would imagine they woudl be very odd smoke if you have never had a flavored. It is very sweet tasting. It is supposed to be "honey and cream"

It sounds like I should go ahead with those C-Notes. No negative remarks yet. I think its going to fit the bill just right. Thanks for your imput. Any other small cigars?

There's a pretty good small cigar a friend of mine likes to get. They're about cigarette sized, and cost about $.69. And they're amaretto flavored. Hey, this is a flavored cigar thread, right?

If flavoreds aren't your bag, I really like Punch Bolos, which come in tins of six. They're quite a bit bigger than C-Notes, but still a good smoke.
