whats the deal with these cigars? i hear a lot of people talk about them as if they should be banned in the cigar world. in my opinion i think they are amazing for the most part. Do seasoned smokers look down on someone smoking an acid? i dont know, it my opinion whatever makes you happy is what you should smoke, just curious.

i smoked with a freind that was smoking an acid one, it really affected my cigar just cause i was smelling that potpouri stick lol. if flavoured cigars are your bag thats cool, but its like smoking next to a piece of insense, not really what im looking for when smoking a cigar.

Phoenixxx, You have to do what you like. There are absolutley no rights or wrongs when It comes to personal tastes and cigars. I normally don't go that route anymore but I used to love the Blondies. Now I have personally changed tastes and want my cigar to smell like manuer and dirty feet :?
Another way I think about it is that lot cigar smokers seem to be purists when it comes to their cigars. But it always comes down to what you like.

Mark Twain - "Concerning Tobacco"

I'm with Cigarsmoka on this one. The same can be said for motorcycles. Some like the roar of a Harley Davidson. Others like the speed of a Japanese sports bike. Some like to ride in comfort. Others prefer style. We all ride for our own reasons. Far be it from anyone to tell a man how he should enjoy his own hobby.

Maybe I can provide some perspective. Acids, Lars Tetens, etc. may or may not be made with fine tobaccos, but the introduction of the flavoring agents make them a smoking experience, not real cigars.

ahh..
this thread answers a question I was going to post. I was curious about the acids...

as of right now in my beginning forray into the wide wonderful world of cigars, I'm probably a purist...I'm not interested right now in "flavored" tobacco...

so this begs a new question for the purists out there. What about the natural line by drew estate? Interesting flavors but all natural toabcco from all over the world.

not a big fan of flavored cigars, most are cheap garbagewith flavoring. but think acids are great. not in thesame class as swisher sweets. ambrosia is also very good, not as strongly flavored. different doesnt mean bad, i like seafood, but still eat steak. any advice on similar cigars?[/s]

the only other flavor I smoke is cao flavors. moontrance is pretty good. I only smoke them once in while but my fiance is obsessed with those and the kuba kubas.

I like it when she smokes the kuba kuba though. There is just something about a good looking lady with a cigar, especially a big one, not those little things.

ACID's Are Cool - Jrinam

The Ambrosia Mother Earth is really the only natural wrapper cigar I will spend money on.

I find ACID or other infused varieties a nice conversational cigar. One to be smoked in the presence of non-smokers. Rather than be be driven away by the aroma, (I know some of us like the fact non-smokers run away) they tend to come up to me and ask what kind of cigar I'm smoking. That it smells nice.

In my opinion, the best is the Extra Ordinary Larry. 60 ring guage, maduro...what's not to like! Also, Drew Estate has a Kahlua branded cigar. Tastes...well, like Kahlua for the most part and has a pleasing vanilla aroma to the smoke.

No I like my cigars large and my women small. Unless I have peeled though a bottle of scotch in which case my impaired judgement allows me both in any size.

Here is a pic of me and my lady last halloween. My costume almost got me killed on several occassions but most people thought it was funny.

I think the kid should have a Cardinals hat on though...or what is the lure of the Cubs that caught your attention.... :D :D

ewww no love for my hometown of St. Louis. Thor you are dissapointing me. I guess you cant blame the cubs for blowing it every year.

You're right...at least they put on a good party every game around town... :? :D

I LOVE ACID Cigars. The Ambrosia...no no no, the Purple ones, no wait BLUE, yeah Blue, well ah you get the picture. I love my La Aurora's, Torano's, Naturals, La Vieja Habana's, but I smoke what my current mood dictates. Some times it's a 'straight' cigar, others it's an ACID or maybe even a Pimp Stick.
I also will openly admit, that it was the ACID line that I based my business on in it's first months while I learned the business of cigars. I will not just sell a guy/gal a cigar. I will talk to him, or her, for a while, and learn a little about what makes them tick. At that point, I will make a recommendation. So far, I have not yet been wrong. Each and every cigar I have recommended for my clients has been right on the money.
Summer Days out in the air are SUPER for a Roam, or a Ambrosia Nectar. Great Autumn days are killer for the Naturals...Oh man the new Root Deluxe Tubo is here....can't wait to have one!
Of course one of the best cigars I had this year was on New Year's Eve, out in the garage...a Torano Selecta Reserva.
The most enjoyable cigar I have had was probably the ACID Blondie, it was just fun to smoke

I have yet to smoke any of the Acid cigars, but I have smoked several of the Naturals. No complaints -- a great smoke.
