Just thought I would share my day so far with you as it has been such a great one!
Woke up at 0430 hours, prepared my troop for a dawn raid drill on an enemy specialising in a beach landing, followed by an insertion march and then taking out a militia packed village.
The battle plan was executed to perfection and I got a pat on the back from my Brigadier, which is always pleasing!
We got back to HQ at 0730 hours, had a quick breakfast, then carried out ceremonial drills - state funerals, trooping the colour, remembrance sunday etc.
In the afternoon we had an extensive rugby training session. Our grudge match against the Navy is coming and I want to be selected to play!
Rugby finished, and I settled back into the Mess hall a lit up my first cigar of the day. One of my newly purchased C10's from Cusano. I think this may be one of the best I have had. I mean they are a very consistent cigar, but this one has a little extra something about it. I lit it up, and the room filled with a beautiful thick smoke. The draw was nice and easy, a real pleasure to smoke. The ash clinged on for dear life and dropped off of it's own accord. I've been smoking it for about 40 minutes and it just keeps getting better and better. I'm being bombarded with all sorts of flavours and aromas. Beautiful!
We have one of our formal dinners tonight, and I can't decide which cigars to take! Decisions decisions - a Montecristo #3, a C10 and maybe a Davidoff, or a Don Carlos #3? - help!
Life is good - hope you have all had an equally enjoyable day!
Ah well, up early again tomorrow - anti-terrorist plans to finalise and execute.
