It was a grand trip! The little lady and I had a wonderful 25th wedding aniv in Hawaii, on Maui. We stayed at the Hyatt and lemme tell ya, they know tourisum. We felt so welcome and comfortable. Up at 5am, sliding glass door wide open and a cup of hot Kona. A Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 made the mornings something to look forward to. The food was wonderful and lots of it. I also had 2 "special" cigars that I have been saving for quite some time, and never smoked em. My travel humi worked perfectly. I smoked my first Ghirka, and hated it. I dunno why, :dunno: but it was bitter and harsh and I just plain hated it. It was a regent shorty and maybe it was the rum, :wine: I just dunno. I fell 100% in love  with the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and 1992. Donny gave me a sample with my last order so I bought a box and now nothing seems to come close. I just finished a Punch Rare Corojo and it was good but I couldn't wait to be finished with it so I could smoke a RP. It has to be the richness and the fact that I really love a maduro. The RP hits the best of both worlds. Anyway....I'm glad to be home but miss the Islands. We had a great time and look forward to 25 more years together.......Aloha!

Glad you had a good time. I am with you on the Gurkha. I don't like them either.

Congratulations on your 25th! I agree with you whole-heartedly on the Rocky Patel Vintages. I've only been smoking cigars for a few months but the RPs are clearly my favorites. I really like the RP Edges, too.

You couldn't have picked a better place to go than Maui. My wife and I went twice, once in 1988 (our honeymoon) and a return trip in '92, but haven't been back since. We're planning a return visit for our 20th anniversary in 2008.

Glad you had fun. I too am with you on the Gurkhas. I do like the legends and ancient warriors though.

Glad you had such a good trip! Congrats on the 25th!!!!

Congrats on 25 years. In this day and age tha is a feat. People don't seem to take stock in the fact that marriage is for life and give up and walk away without it meaning or having any second thoughts about it. I commend you and congradulate you.

Here's to the 25,

Rick

Welcome back food. Glad you had a good trip.

So did you like the RP vinatge cigars?

Never been to Hawaii...hopefully I'll get there some day. With my luck...the volcano will erupt

Glad you had a good time
