Aluminum tubes

I assume they should be kept in the tubes, but I'm not sure that is the correct thing to do. As long as they are not packed in those tubes too wet or too dry they should be OK. The nice thing about tubes is that they should protect the cigars from handling damage. I would put them in the humidor anyone in case there is any air leakage.

Listen to Tony. Query: Are the tubes sealed? Most glass tubes are. If so, then those stick should be fine for a long time. Store them as is.

But, I've noticed, from a friend who exclusively smokes R&Js, that the metal tubes are lines with thin sheets of wood. I don't know what type, whether it's Spanish Oak or cedar. But, that should also provide some humidity stabilization in you humidor. He unscrews he caps, takes them off, and throws in a boveda packet to let them breathe, in the closed humidor.

So, yes keep all the tubes intake and in place. My friend also gave me several empty rubes to serve as travel containers; great for protecting a stick I'm carrying inside my inner suit coat or jean pocket for later. Great way to recycle the tubes, I wouldn't toss them after you smoke the cigar inside.
