Well, we just got an e-mail from American Airlies that our flight to Florida tomorrow has been canceled. The next flight they can get us on is Monday night. My wife has been on the phone for the last hour trying to book something else, but it's kind of tough when there's 6 people. I get the feeling that I'll be loading up the old Suburban tonight and driving all night long to FL. I can see those signs now - "200 miles to South of the Border", "180 miles to South of the Border", "Pedro says" .... Oh well, I need this vacation and we'll get there one way or the other. Party on, Brothers!!

Wow...that sucks! If you do end up in Mexico remember three things:
¿Dónde están las mujeres limpias?
y
"Otra cerveza, por favor"
y
"¿Dónde está el cuarto de baño?"

All you need is right there brother!

Hehe - Connor has never taken that drive - I've done it many times. South of the Border is a stop in South Carolina (it is SC right?) on 95 down the East coast. There are signs every 10 to 20 miles. All the build up - I never once stopped there.

Oh, LOL...I have never gone through there...I only have an 8 hr drive to Destin. But I get to pass the Boobie Bungalow when I go!

Is this the result of the MD-80 inspections? I do everything I can to avoid flying on those things. Many are made in China and I think they are the worst thing flying. If you sit in the back you can see them twist.

Thanks for the comforting thought, Reno - now I am going to have to sit up front when I fly.

Rob - good luck on the drive - when I was taking care of my dad a few years back I actually enjoyed the drive (of course I was driving by myself and the peace and quiet was much needed!) Pick me up some fireworks on the way back!!!

Connor - I think I would have stopped at Boobie Bungalow.

No, you would not! Trust me...its not as awesome as it sounds and looks, unless topless/toothless women are your thing....well it is in Alabama...

Buddy, I live in Sussex County, NJ. That sounds like the Hooters waitresses here.

The red is the only thing I hear

I didn't even notice the topless part, Chris - your mind is in the gutter.

Not worth stopping unless you just have some time to waste. When I was a OTR I fueled up there a few times.

Good News My Brothers!! the wife was able to get us on a Delta flight to Tampa and back. Good enough for me. Head out at 6am Saturday. SUN & FUN - here I come.

Blah, blah, blah, topless, blah, blah!

Congratulations brother, here is hoping you enjoy your holiday!!

Gentlemen...Gentlemen..I speak the truth here, unfortunatly, I speak the truth! It is not a sight to behold. I learned that fairful day that just because the sign on the door said Boobies, did not mean I have to stop!

Rob, very happy you got a flight. I am not sure what is worse though, a 12 hour car ride or an airport!
