Edge By Rocky Patel
Ashton
Olivia "O" Maduro
La Aroma De Cuba - corona
La Gloria Cubana Serie R
Fuente Gran Reserva Maduro
Hoyo de Monterrey

 Nice sticks!

Personally, I wouldn't want to be influenced by the descriptions of other folks. I like to try 'em first then, compare notes. IMHO.

Yep, I agree with Brenda. Try them first, make your own opinion and share it with us to find out what others thought of them.

Other people's opinions may sway an influence, positive or negative, towards your experience.

Only had three of those but I'm a big fan of the Edges. I'm with Brenda though, you don't other people's descriptions clouding yours.

Don't listen to Brenda - they are all terrible sticks. Send them to me so I can dispose of them.

Enjoy those sticks man!

I won't tell you what to expect, but the La Gloria Cubana Serie R is one of my favorite cigars!

I will give you a full descruiption and taste profile of all of the above sticks that I have tried

And that is my complete synopsis of all of the sticks that you have bought that I have tried before. I hope you liked my review.

i enjoy the edges too. Saying that this is only my 4th one but seems to be a real smooth one.

I had a la gloria thur night but that was after more than a few crown and cokes. So im gonna try it again.

Just finished the Fuente and just wasnt too impressed by it. Didnt burn real well and really didnt enjoy the flavor. It was hard for me to finish. I really like the short stories so i might try a diff wrapper other than the maduro.

The local guys have been given the ashton and the monterrey a lot of hype cant wait to try out tonight. Im takin my girl out for Valentines. Any recomendations on a nice port.

Good selections. Id go with a cusano 18 over the ashton though.

IMHO, that Oliva O Maduro is the best out of the bunch. Oliva makes the best damn maduro on earth.

As far as Port goes, Axe is more knowledgeable than I. If you are looking for an inexpensive port, go with the Dow Boardroom. About 20 bucks a bottle. If you are looking for medium to expensive, you have Presidential, Fonseca, Grahams, Blah blah blah...

I just recently picked up a bottle of Warre's Otima 10 year Tawny. Great viscosity, smooth finish. Not that expensive!!

Price-wise, I'd go with the Cusano 18. As far as flavor goes, the Ashton is comparable to the Cusano. Both are really good.

But, I'm a Cusano junkie. So I'd pull for Cusano 18's.

That is a very nice selection of cigars.

I wish I could help you with the Port, but I can't.

If you are trying to find your favorite maduros...you are off to a great start. You have some good ones there, but I would advise you to add the Camacho SLR Maduro, Padron 6000 Maduro, and the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro. These are in the same basic price range as the maduro cigars you mentioned above.

Enjoy your research!!

Well i tried the Olivia. Its one of the many maduros that ive tried i just dont think they are gonna be for me. Have tried camroon wrappers but lookin for somethin better. Cant wait to try those aroma de cubas.

Like everyone else has said, go for the cusano 18's. You will not be disappointed.

For Port, the Dow boardroom is not bad. I actually enjoy it a good bit. Not too tawny. I am more of a ruby port fan. I like Offley ruby port. I have also heard good things about Graham six grapes port's as well.

wow i really enjoyed the aroma de cuba very smooth liked the taste. gonna hafta try more. has anyone esle tried these.

I've been smoking some of these over the past few weeks. Really like the taste. Full body and kind of nutty and smooth. I've smoked the corona, toro and robusto 54 ring...I'm not impressed with the corona or toro...cigar seems spongy and I've had draw issues...I've smoked 4 or 5 robustos though and they smoke great. Try the fat robustos....
