I got a "Valiente" from some guy who walked up to me at work while I was smoking. He and I had quite a conversation about cigars though I didn't really want to (read on and you'll understand why). Once we got to talking, he said he started cigar smoking about 15 years ago and now buys exclusively from Thompsons (yeah I know). He says he usually gets bundles equalling 100 cigars for less than 50 bucks. Now at fifty cents and having it be from where it came from, I was thinking it should go in the trash...or to someone who deserves a cigar joke. But curiosity is setting in and before I light it up, pass out, and crack my head open, I'm thinkin' maybe it would be best just to ask if anybody here has had one.

I'm not afraid to admit that I have never tried one of those.
The only Valiente I've ever tried was by Sancho Panza.
Before you light it up, make sure you have a real cigar clipped and ready to go. After trying one of T's house brands, you'll need it. There's a reason why not one of the numerous house brands they make are among their top sellers

well i always at least try to smoke a gifted cigar out of respect, although i have to wish you good luck as it will not be pleasent if it is a T house brand. Look at it this way, if he frequently purchases those 100 stick deals maybe it has been sitting around for a long time and has gotten better?

Let us know if you... :bigpuke:

I thought about having a real cigare clipped and ready but am afraid that the $$$ on that one will be wasted as no possible taste could get that one out.
