Found a new shop downtown that sells cigars and they have an even bigger selection than the Cigar Bar where I've been going lately. They carry quite a few AF cigars and I want to try a few. So, how would you rank the following cigars:

Cubanitos (13.99 for tin of 10)
Short Story ($5.35)
Curly Head ($1.75)
Curly Head Deluxe ($2.19)
Curly Head Deluxe Maduro ($2.19)

Short stories are a great smoke for a quick small smoke. You'll find a mess of posts in the archives of Mac,thor, and the rest of us enjoying a short story with a nice cup of Coffee in the morning!

Curly heads are a short filler smoke from Fuentes that I have read conflicting opinions on. Some love it for a cheap fuentes smoke, others pan it as crap. For a sub 2.00 smoke, I would say give one a try, personally, I like a maduro wrapper, so I would go that route, but since it's not like saying, blow 30.00 and see if you like it, I would pick on or two up and see what you think. Don't forget to let us know as well!

Can't go wrong with the short stories though!

Where in town did you find this place? I'm originally from the 'burgh, and I'm always back in town to visit family.

Regards,
Paul

Yeah, I've seen alot of posts favoring the Short Story - I just didn't know how it compared to the others. I'll only be able to pick up one or two so I wanted to see which ones I should go for.

Paul - the place is called Nicholas Coffee (http://www.nicholascoffee.com) and it is right in Market Square downtown. It is actually very close to the Cigar Bar which is also in Market Square. I just bought a few smokes from the Cigar Bar and I was walking back to the office when I passed this place. I didn't have a chance to go in, so it could turn out to be horrible, but from the wide variety and types of cigars they carry, I'm going to figure it should be a decent place. They also roast their own coffee there and I'll be picking some of that up too.

Where in the 'Burgh are you from? I'm currently in the West View area, but went to high school in Allison Park.

And next time you're in town, let me & Vince & Razor King & Rayvn know - we should get together for a Burgh sitdown.

DO NOT SMOKE A SHORT STORY WITH COFFEE!!!!!!! You will be hooked FOREVER!!!!!!

Thanks alot Macallan and Smoka!!!!! You Pushers!!!!! Those things here are 7.50+ tax! It has become an expensive habit. But oooohhh so good!!

This place roasts their own coffee and sells cigars - this sounds like a good place to have my paycheck direct deposited!

What kind of coffee do you usually drink with cigars. Normally, I tend to drink the really strong ones - French Roast, Espresso Roast, etc - do you find that a slightly less powerful coffee is better?

Ravyn and Me are down river in Beaver county. We meet with Vince over at B&B in Rochester on some Fridays.
Maybe closer to the holidays we can have a sitdown somewhere in between.

Yep, I know where all you guys are at! I lived in the North hills, in Wexford, and Graduated from North Allegheny. Used to work in West View for a bit, and also out in Beaver! I will definately let you guys know, it honestly probably will not be until my birthday which is usually on or around Thanksgiving!

In regards to the coffee, I take it like my spirits when smoking a cigar. I find that a strong coffee, with it's bitterness, goes very well with a full bodied smoke. I have a very good friend of mine who is columbian, and he brings me back a few pounds of the stuff from the mother country!!! It's full bodied and very potent coffee, so, I can't say much more on that note.

Cappy, welcome to the habit!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok - you sold me - a short story it is - and I'll have to pick up a bit of freshly roasted coffee too

Just didn't *shake* listen, Did you? *shake* shake* You will be *shake* sorry if you*shake* try it.*shake*

Sadly, due to fact that my classes begin at 7 AM, my Short Story and Coffee routine has become a weekend event. But at least I'll appreciate the fix that much more

shake shake shake, shake shake shake! shake yo booty! shake yo booty!

Don't forget, just in case you walk into a cigar shop staffed by people who don't know much, it's a Hemingway Short Story, and it's made by Fuente, just in case he/she is still going duuhhhhhhh.

I'm not the least bit prejudicial and I'm all for equal treatment but the discount cigarette store by me is the worst with its two Indian owners. I can't understand them and they can't understand me. Short Stories for 4.00 can't be beat though.
