At the risk of Bloofington taking away my birthday...

I'm guilty. I've been using #25 on the top 25 list in Manhattans all week. There, I said it. I feel better.

I've had a few bottles of Old 8 Year Blackie sitting here for a while. I was getting tired of 'neat." Went on to "rocks." Now, the Manhattans are getting old. Back to straight next week.

I've cut down on purchasing Bourbon, sour mash, and rye, as I figure beer weather will be upon us soon. Ya, right. A foot of snow headed here tonight.

But Jim Beam Black is no longer on my Top 25. Old Commonwealth now sits at No. 25 and after I'm finished reviewing The Classic Cask 18 year old, that'll be gone too. I'll post an end of season Top 25 soon, because after the phantom storm that supposedly dumped up to a foot of snow in my area while I was in NYC since yesterday afternoon, I think this is really the end. The snow that supposedly fell here is just about all gone, so I'm not sure where this latest big bad snow storm really fell, but another big disappointment here, I'm afraid.

The latest Bloofy Top 25 of bourbon is in the post "Final Assessment of Kentucky Vintage . . ."

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to THE COLONEL!!! When is/was it?

:birthday:

And don't get me wrong, I still like Jim Beam Black. I happened to crack a new bottle a few days ago. Very nice stuff.
