Hey everyone,

I am trying to upload a picture, the only way it will show is if I make it 40x37 pixels, way too small to discern what it even is when you look at it. How did you guys get your images the right "file size"?

Thanks, John

I used MS Paint to crop the image square and then used the stretch/skew function to size it to 100 X 100 pixels.
Hope this helps

Using Adobe Photoshop CS, I crop and rescale from the original image. Then I adjust the quality of the image to reduce the file size.

For example, my avatar has a body, but for the taste of this forum, I cropped out everything but the head shot. Then rescaled the image to fit.

Send me your image, and when I have time, I'll fix it up for you.

You think you could link us to a copy of the whole shot? I bet it's worth a look!

Here is the picture I want for my Avatar, I cropped it down to what I want it to look like. This is me and my gf in a limo on the way home from my cabin in NC, not that you needed to know that lol. But, I love her.

Thank you so much jhope, I spent more time on this than any other human should have to!

I was getting ready to throw this imac out the window...

Banihex and the young lady make a fine looking couple, and avatar as well. These avatars are getting better all the time. I have to say though, I might be partial to Carduus' avatar. That thing continues to leave me laughing. It's hilarious.

Her name is Autumn, we do make a great couple! Unfortunately, she lives in home town Tampa, and I am up here in Boston. But, it's working. Carduus avatar is great, Bucky and Satchel, that comic is hillarious. haven't read it in forever.
