well glad to be back home. on sept 14 iwas involved in a bad car crash. i was driving to play some golf and was struck in the drivers side by someone who ran a red light. the good part is we all survived. the driver of the other car a elderly man was not really hurt as he was in a nice caddy and the airbags deployed saving him. myself well not quite so lucky he struck me in my door and he was doing about 45 mph at impact. my 04 mustang is a total loss luckily it is well insured i'm gonna miss that car. i suffered several injuries and have been in the hospital since the wreck. they let me out yesterday but am confined pretty much to my recliner or bed. i broke my arm in 2 places, my collarbone, my leg in 2 places and 4 ribs which one them punctured my lung. also had a serious concussion so i don't really remember much of a few days after it happened. have had 2 surgeries to fix my arm and leg and they will heal back just fine. funny thing is all the years that i have been racing cars never really got hurt, guess the public roads are much more dangerous ha ha ha. so anyone waiting on a pkg they will be going out as my mother is staying with me till i am better and she will get them to the post office in the next few days. thanks for reading my ramblings and i will be on quite a bit as can't do much else for awhile.

That is terrible. May The Lord heal you. And you are right about one thing, the public roads are very dangerous. It is amazing what some people are doing in and with their cars these days. People have taken their living room personalities into every single aspect of their lives in "this once great republic."

Please be careful driving around. Remember to be a defensive driver and think of that old slogan from driver's ed, "watch out for the other guy."

God bless you, jhopephulle, get well, completely well.

Welcome back! I wish your absence had been for more enjoyable purposes but at least your on the mend. If you need anything - give us a shout!

WOW!

Glad to hear you are on the mend brother!

Can you smoke with your good arm???

Be well!

I was wondering where you had gone brother! Sorry to hear about your crash and car, but it could have been a lot worse, and it is good to hear that you are kind of up and around.

Get better, and keep us posted on your progress!!

Hey welcome back and glad to hear that you are healing. It is absolutly terrible what people do while driving. I drive all day long and witness accidents almost everyday. It never ceases to amaze me at how people just don't pay attention behind the wheel. Please feel better and smoke often.

Holy....

I'm glad you are going to be OK. I hope for a speedy recovery. Let me know when you are doing well enough for a 'get well' package.

Glad to hear that you are alive, if not all that well.

My best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.

I investigate fatality traffic accidents for a living (among other things). I get stuck with working every single fatality accident in my jurisdiction. That said, you were very lucky :D to survive a 45mph impact. Most people don't  . The last bad wreck I worked, was very similiar to yours. A small pickup ran a red light and T-boned a compact car. The car driver was pinned between the door and the center console. He was a pretty big guy and was compressed into a tiny space. We had the pickup on radar at 33mph at impact. (We were working traffic enforcement at the light when it happened). The car passenger had only minor injuries. The pickup tried to run, but only got about a 1/4 mile before his truck completely died. Of course he was drunk and uninjured. His passenger was sober and got cracked on the head by the windshield. As usual, the drunk was uninjured (he also had no driver's license and no insurance). He went to county jail. Sorry for the rant. . .

Good luck on your recovery.

Jhop I am sorry to hear that, I am glad that you are on the mend. If there is anything we can do just ask.

as v man said i was lucky. my car was heavily modified motor and drivetrain as i drag raced it at times it was still street legal. one of the good things because it was so fast i had to have a 10 point roll cage in the car to be nhra legal beause it ran faster than 10.99 in the qtr mile. this cage is most likely the reason i am still around. luckily i know how to build good cages as i do many also for others in this area. tyvm for all the good wishes i really appreciate the support. it just gives me more time to smoke some good cigars the only bad thing is no alcohol while i am on the pain meds. that too will get better just a matter of time.

by the way my car is a total loss but the other driver has good insurance as do i and it will be replaced.

all packages will be going out this weekend. i got someone to help me with the boxes and the shipping. so be on the lookout for some packages for those waiting on my packages. ty for your patience. :D

Just glad to see that you are healing and working on getting back on your feet. Take care of your self, that is what is important.

Damn, man!

I'm glad to hear that you're all right.

Too bad about the Mustang, though. I had a 92 LX 5.0 when I lived in TX.

Great car.

Take your time healing, brother.

Dang! Glad to hear your on the path to recovery! I will be praying for you every day as you heal. Take it easy brother!

Heres to a speedy recovery and many cigars over the healing process!!

WOW Jeff, sorry to hear about your accident. It's been over a month since your original posting: how is your healing process coming along?

Holy Cr@p. BP speaks.

Welcome back buddy.
