Do you all leave the bands on or take them off when enjoying your smokes? I leave them on until I reach it while smoking. Nothing worse than tasting paper not the stick.

I usually leave mine on at least until the glue loosens enough to remove it easily. Even then I leave it on most of the time.


*note a few times I have been able to somewhat salvage a cigar that started to unravel on me. I simply wet the area that starts to come loose, then slide the band down over it (carefully) to hold it in place...then just move the band up as you smoke. Does not always work, but every stick saved is one less I have to buy!

Exactly what I do. Then take it off as I near the band.

Off. It can be done even if the glue is holding it strongly to the cigar.

I tend to take the band off most of the time - usually after smoking about 5 minutes.

That's a pretty good time to take it off. I used to do that, then just opted for taking it off first.

I like economy of motion, and don't like to work harder than I have to. So, if I leave the band on, I can throw away the band and the cigar at the same time when I am finished.

Look at all the energy I am saving!

Sometimes I leave them on and sometimes I take them off. If I ever get to smoke an Opus X I will be leaving the band on. If I am smoking a Macanudo (just tried my first, didn't care for it), I will take it off.

I too let the cigar warm up first so that there is not a chance of damaging it, and then I remove the band and place it in my band bowl that I have on my smoking table.

There you go!

I let it get warmed up for a few minutes then take it off, I like em naked.

I usually remove them when I get close to the band unless I'm not planning on smoking it to the band.
