Went to my doctor today and got 200 units of Botox in my back at 500 plus bucks per 100 units. Doc says it will take up to two weeks to see if it does any good. Right now it feels like Somebody has punched me square in the back a dozen times. It injected me in about 20 spots along about 7 inches of my back. Hope this does some good.

Some people the injections help .... some it does nothing for. My father has had a bunch of shots like that and they did 0! They even tried doing them under CT Scan, and they did not help.
However, some people it helps. If your damage is low (below L10-11 area, you may want to consider the morphine pump.... it has had a high success rate as long as your damage is below that level....in my father's case, his surgery was at L10-11 area so they can't risk hitting scar tissue and causing other complications.)

A chance is all I need at this point. I do not want drugs and the pump is not needed in my case as the pain is not that bad all the time. If this does not work I am looking at not much else in the way of treatment.

The morphine pump is not something that makes a person loopy, it just injects a very small dose into the spinal cord which in most cases takes care of the pain. We did alot of research on it for my father, but it was not a viable procedure due to the location of his surgery. The only option open to him would be DBES (Deep Brain Electronic Stimulation) which is still experimental with chronic pain sufferers. It has been used for years on Parkinson's Patients (in fact my Father-in-law is under the knife as I am writing this having that procedure done on him for Parkinsons). They drill 3 holes into your skull and insert electronic stimulator wires into the proper receptors in the brain, then they implant a pacemaker type power device in your chest area to send the impulses to the brain.
