NEW YORK - An aircraft crashed into a high-rise apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City on Thursday, NBC News reported. There were conflicting reports about whether it was an airplane or a chopper.

Apparently Yankees pitcher Corey Lidle was the pilot. Not sure who else was on board. Very sad.

I cant wait to hear what went on? I heard on the news he was a pilot for less then a year and has only got the plane this summer..

Got his license seven months ago, 200 hours flying time, got the plane in July, I believe.

He got the plane in july. Sadly, he died in October.

Very sad indeed.

Does this bring back 9/11 memories for anyone else, or am I alone in this?
