Brothers Coffee Beans - My mistake

No consistency even between samples of the same coffee. Some near great, others barely drinkable. I think they tend to buy eratically.

The reason I got into home roasting was an effort to have some control over the green bean quality and of course the freshness of the roast. I was lucky to have CastleCrest help me get started by telling me the "good" places to shop. One of my mainstays is http://www.sweetmarias.com in that they are very careful about the green coffee and inspect (cup) every batch before they will buy it. Try buying some of their roasted coffee (they will roast and ship the same or next day). In any case read the comments on their web site about how they buy coffee. Regards
