I got some bad news today........

I work as a Juvenile Detention officer and had a riot yesterday. Unfortunatley, I was restraining one of the residents and another resident came to sucker punch the kid I had, and I ended up getting punched in the mouth. My mouth swelled up like a hamster and I was cut inside of the mouth and had to go to the care center. The doctor told me I can not smoke cigars for a while at least until the anti biotics they gave me run out.

As I left the care center, I lit up a CAO Gold, and could not even get my mouth around it. The inside of my mouth was burning and I ended up drooling! Guys........This absolutley sucks. I Hope the swelling goes down soon. I can't take this.

Numb your mouth with some scotch first, then try again.... Seriously, I would follow the Dr.'s advice VERY CLOSE!!! There is a reason they go to school for that long.

Hope you're better soon. Like Capt said though, listen to the doctor. Smoking a cigar with a cut in your mouth greatly increases the chance of having problems. Not to mention it will hurt like hell. :?

lots of vitamin B complex, C and E along with a multivit. Lots of water and a warm compress. You'll heal quik!

Sorry to hear usmc, that definately is lousy luck, but as CC mentioned, they'll have a week or so more age on them! Careful about pushing it, the sucking on the cigar causes you to actually suck the clots out of the wound causing the bleeding again, so, that is not going to help get you back on the road to pure tobacco enjoyment any sooner!

Thankyou everyone for your concern. So, my wife calls my brother last night and tells him that I got hurt at work. About an hour later, he shows up with his fiance, with a box of Rocky Patel vintage 92' and CAO cameroon. Can't wait to light em' up!

Thanks to Axegod the Rocky's vintage 90 and 92's are a staple, and will be for as long as I can keep them around. Great, well balanced smoke that is satisfying all the way to the nub! Enjoy them when you can!

I went to the care station this morning, doc says I can smoke my cigars again in a couple of days........great news!
