smoking with the snake doctor
I've had 3 of these in my humi for about 6 weeks and decided to fire one up tonight. One word - D I S A P P O I N T E D ! ! !

About three minuets in, the cap started to come loose on one side. I tried to use the "lick, stick & toast" method to repair it but every time it got a little moist it came loose again. It wasn't long before the wrapper started to resemble the ribbon of a cheep Christmas bow. Using the 4-finger grip, I managed to hold it together long enough to smoke about half of it and that was plenty. While this cigar had a lot of flavor, the flavor it had was very much one-dimensional. Just lots of peppery- spicy-blah.
I guess it could have just been a bad stick, or maybe it needs to age some more. I will try another in a few months. I sure hope the second one is better than the first.

Sorry Brad,
I too smoke one or 2 of these, and was unimpressed, mine just wouldn't burn!

Yeah, I've tried a couple and have yet to enjoy one.

I had a Los Blancos Crillio earlier this summer, I thought it was fantastic. Maybe you guys just need to change brands!! :D :D

I wasn't really dissapointed in them but wasn't wowed either. I know plenty who love them, but they're not really my cup of tea.

I have only smoked a couple of them but each one I did enjoy. I think they are a pretty good mid-day smoke. In the honor of BP I will offer up space in my humi and take any criollos not wanted.

To me, they are hit-and-miss. The first couple I smoked were amazing. The next couple were....not amazing. There's too many cigars out there to wonder if you'll be pleased by the cigar you get. One good thing came out of them. I was able to get one of the amazing boxes they used to have, with the sliding drawers. I've seen the empty boxes go for 20 or 30 bucks on ebay.

I've had a couple, and PIF'd one as well. I enjoyed, didn't have any trouble with burn or construction. I just think for the price I paid, $6-7, there's better sticks out there.

I probably won't be buying anymore, but I wouldn't turn one down if offered...

p.s. I forgot who I sent it to, if it was lousey, my apologies.

Fudge...well hopefully you aren't disappointed with your winnings Webby, cause there might be a little guy in there who apparently ain't too popular...

After going through this thread I thought I ought to revisit the CAO criollo and so I did. This one had been in the humi for about 7months and burned flawlessly and as in the past was a good smoke. Now I think it would be a better moning smoke as it seemed a little light on flavor and strength. But I would definitly buy more and enjoy them.
