They are sitll shipping them. Some stores maintain that it is the wrapper that makes it so low in production. Actully, it is not the shortage of wrapper but has more to do with the rolling process. It has both Mata Fina and Broadleaf maduro wrappers. Both of these leaves require a great deal of moisture to be added to make them more bendable for rolling. When water is added before the cigar is rolled, it jump starts the fermentation process (chemical reaction onset by water) and what is thought to me the 3rd fermentation before the cigar is allowed to sit before it is boxed. The more water you add before rolling, the longer the fermentation (the cigar will feel damp and have an amonia smell). So the MX2 requires a lot of down time before it can ship to the stores.
I have actually been seeing a steadier flow of these cigars since the new year industry wide. Your best bet is to put a box on order with your tobacconist of online vendor to get on the list for when they come it. I would be willing to be that in most cases, it would not take longer than 30 days.
