CAO Odyssey and Millenium

I was curious as to what the good folks at this forum think of these two cigars. I bought a single coffin box Odyssey a month ago, put it away and forgot about it, now I realize that the price I got it for at my local is about 50% lower than any other place I can find. I also was contemplating buying a couple of the Millenium coffins, those are slightly pricier than the Odysseys but I don't seem to be able to find out a whole lot about them.

For whatever reason my local has a decent quantity of both of these on hand, if anybody out there has a thing for these smokes and for some reason is having problems getting them I would be willing to lend a hand, just PM me.

Both are just okay IMHO. I am more partial to the Odyssey but would still take a lot of other CAO lines over both.

Overpriced disappointments. CAO makes a bunch of cigars that are way better, in my opinion. For a time there was a quest for many to come up with an overaged, over ten dollar cigar, and I feel the Odyssey in particular, was just such a quest. This is especially in light of the fact that the original price for the Odyssey was around $35-40.

Wow, ask a question and two moderators promptly answer, now thats good, two guys who I trust chime in. Thank you both. Maybe I will burn that Odyssey tomorrow and see what I think.

By the way Bloofington, take that $35, subtract $29 and you get what I paid.

I have to say that the Brazilia is by far my favorite CAO so far, especially the Gol!

Yeah, since I first saw the CAO Odyssey in about 1999, I'd say it's probably come down a BIT in price. :cryinlaugh: If I am correct, that's the one in the black casket, errrrr, coffin, right? Sorry, that's what 11 years in the funeral business will do to you. :rotflmao: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :cryinlaugh:

How about a set of three

I've never smoked either -
But recall one having a nice Black Box -

And then there were three!

And yes CC, the Odyssey has a nice black box, I beleive the Milennium has a navy blue casket coffin. Take $40, subtract $25 and you have the price for a blue box as opposed to a black one, maybe the blue has more layers of clear coat

I'm still going to buy and try, all in the name of science of course.

Thanks guys, your comments are much appreciated.

Years ago when I used to buy all kinds of rare stuff - I'd hide the deep in the cabinet.
Then years later I'd have real treasures -
I think with anything you pay over $25 for it's worht putting ayear or two of age on them.
That is unless they are very mild - then a year - 2 max!

Cloudy if interested I have an Opus A in a coffin.
We could make a deal if you'd like?
I'm sure it has a few weeks  of age to it.
