i purchased some cao black and some 5 vegas a cigars that have the cedar wrap on them. when i store them in my humidor should i take the wrapoff or leave it on? thx for the help

I was told to take everything off of the cigar minus band (cello, cedar, tube, etc...) when putting in the humidor.

its a personal preference, i leave the cedar and the plastic on. it wont hurt anything and gives them a bit more protection when handling them. this has been discussed at length on this board in the past.

I'll leave the cedar on as well. But as I found out this summer, it's a good idea to check on them to make sure no mold begins to grow under there. Luckily though, it didn't detract from the smoking pleasure.

your supposed to smoke them with the cedar on the cigar right?

Of course, how else are you supposed to get that taste of cedar I read so much about

You know... Imma take one for the club, but I think I may actually try that. I have plenty of cedar wrapped cigars, and I wouldnt mind experimenting. I thought about it, and when I get home from VA, imma try it. lol...maybe my smoke will stay lit for one and burn evenly haha. Im not expecting anything, but I feel like trying something new.

A friend of mine did a cigar bar for a friends wedding.
Not sure what they were smoking, but one Lady was smoking her's
with the cedar on

Personally I leave everything the way it came - original packaging.
It was made that way for a reason.
The above statement is for anything that will be sitting for more than a month before smoking.
I think taking cello off if your going to smoke something within 2 weeks is a good idea - as for the cedar -
take it off before smoking!

if you are aging, then everything off. If not, just keep it on. If you handle your cigars a lot, then definately keep it on.
