Rater: Casual
Date: Jan, 14th

Victim: Sol Cubano: Connecticut Robusto

Quality & Construction: Even, Tight Wrap; Filler was smooth and solid throught.

Burn: Ack my Thumb!!! :) J/K; Burns evenly throught testing

Flava & Body: MMMM 36 Flavors, Drewl... I realy had to think of all the flavors... This that came to mind; Strong roast coffee, toast, maybe a hit of organic fruit... i dont know... just what came through my mind. It would be Mild to Full flavor cigar

Overall Impression: It'd make an ok 'casual'/or 'social' cigar, but i'll say I by far (compaired to bloof :) ) am not an expert.

80/100

How about 4.50-5.50$ for a single

Thanks Again to Thor 'Cigarsmoka' from Cigar.com for letting me Review his cigars.

Sol Cubano: Corojo.

Quality and Construction

The general appearance was very pleasing. The wrapper was only slightly veined, but had a very consistent color. Unfortunatly the cigar was rolled tightly, making for a hard draw. The wrapper started to come apart at the half way point.

Burn

The cigar burned very slowly and evenly until the outer wrapper started to unwrap. The burn finished uneven from this point. Burn lasted in excess of 1 hour, 45 minutes.

Flavor and Body

The Cigar started with a bit on an edge at first, and quickly mellowed to a spicy robust flavor. This cigar seemed to be more hearty than some other Nicaraguan cigars I have smoked. I would say this cigar is for the experienced smoker only.

Overall Impression

This is a good flavored cigar, but needs improvement in it's construction. The hard draw made for a soggy, muddy off flavor finish.

I would give this an 80/100, and would pay up to $5.00 for it.

Sol Cubano: Connecticut Robusto

Quality and Construction

I found this cigar to be very well made, and visually appealing. Hardly any veins to speak of. I found it to be a quality smoke form the very first draw. Draw was perfect, making for a great smoke.

Burn

With the good draw, this cigar was very cool. The cigar burned very evenly, and burn time was in excess of 1 hour.

Flavor and Body

This was one cigar, that I would brag about. I really liked it, I liked is alot! It was very mellow, form the begining, to the very end. It wasn't as strong as the first. For being a Nicaraguan, I would have expected a very strong smoke. I noticed a slightly peppery falvor, and as Casual noted, there was the roast coffee flavor going on.

Overall Impression

THis was a cigar, that I wouldn't hesitate to buy. For a cigar, I would say, that this was just about the best lower cost cigar a person could buy. It finished well.

I would rate this one a 95/100, and would pay up to $6.00.

These are great looking cigars with a very impressive band and quality construction (with the exception of wrapper peeling on one sample). I agree with the comments that they are for the serious smoker which is my guess for the market they are being made for. They were both easy on the draw with a good slow burn with a fine ash that would easily get 3/4" or better. The 5 1/4" started peeling in two places almost at once which gave it a tattered appearance. The flavor was strong, but, good with a creamy smoke that reminded me of expensive cigars. Forms are filled out and on the way. Thanks Thor for the opportunity to be a smoke tester. It was fun!

Hello everybody! Glad to see you're starting to post and send in reviews! One more thanks for your daunting task to smoke and rate these for us. I know, it's hard to smoke free stuff :D j/k

It's much appreciated and it seems the reviews are going pretty well...

Nice review Jason, Kaz, glad you had fun. Hopefully we'll be able to do this again!

I did send the survey back, but I ran out of room to write.

What I posted was the full review.

Thanks again for the cigars!

I smoked the Sol Cubano: Connecticut Robusto and wrote the review. I will smoke the other this weekend and finish the review and put it in the mail.
