Hello Ambackers, I have been posting here for a little while now, but those who don't, my name is Thor and I'm the Marketing guy at Cigar.Com. I'd like to thank Fernando for giving me the opportunity to post this on Amback. I want to give away two cigars to be rated by twenty people. It's a cigar being launched later this year. Since I know all of you around here really love this hobby, I want to get some honest feedback, and I know everyone loves a free Cigar, so I want to get it to people who would really give a valuable review. So to the first twenty people to reply to this post, by stating "Send me Cigars" will get them, on me. I'll pay for shipping and all other costs. Please let me know if you have any other questions. The only thing is you have to promise to send back the rating card I send with it (paid envelope included). I appreciate all your help and look forward to hearing what you guys around here have to say. (please email me at [email protected] with your address, so I can send you the sticks asap)

Wow!!! That's quite an offer, cigarsmoka. I would say "send me cigars" except for one thing. If these are medium to full bodied cigars with a generous helping of ligero in the filler, I might not be the best person to send them to. Dead men can't review cigars. I generally like to let any cigar I get sit for anywhere from two days to two weeks before doing any formal sort of tasting.

My own preferences run to what I generally refer to as Girly Man Cigars, you know, Dunhills, La Unicas, etc. I've been known to get kicked pretty hard in the head from Playboy Churchills, so what's your advice? Should I go for it or abstain? I'm not so desirous of a couple of free cigars as I am to remain among the living. A case in point was the Perdomo Reserve Maduro I smoked recently. It was a large figurado, extremely slow burning, although it drew fairly well. I even followed my custom of having a large meal beforehand, but I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of my jaw from the punch I received from this cigar and that was many days ago.

:dunno: :duh:

I'm sending out a Connecticut and a Corojo. You're safe with the Connecticut, but the Corojo might set you back if you're not into a solid medium, medium to full. It's worth a shot though!

I don't think I would really worry about this one knocking you down, It's a gradual build, and won't hit you hard without warning. At least it didn't to me.

Actually, corojo could have me saying "carajo" about halfway through. Since I know you're looking for serious reviews and you don't have time for me to age this thing for three years, I'll pass. If you don't get a good response, I may come back in, but I'd better pass if I know what's good for me.

A friend sent me some cigars a few years ago. One was a small rosado version of Cuban Parejo, one was a giant rosado version. After almost three years I smoked the giant one, having smoked the smaller one soon after he sent it. I think I posted a review a month or so ago about the giant cigar. Anyway, I should have waited. It kicked my ass something fierce. Just goes to show you.

Once a Girly Man Cigar smoker, always a Girly Man Cigar smoker. I like my bourbon strong, my coffee strong, my hot sauce hotter than hot, my women strong and independent, and my cigars, . . .

pathetically weak. :dunno: :cryinlaugh:

Actually, regarding the women thing, . . .

it's not like I actually have any women, . . .

or ever really had that many, . . .

although I was twice divorced before age 29. And it's not like the women I did have were strong and independent. It's just that if I DID have any women, like maybe somewhere over the rainbow, . . .

in a . . .

well, . . .

it was just a figurado of speech. :dunno: :duh: :cryinlaugh:

:D I have to run out of the office, but I'll be back here and there over the weekend to see how the progress is coming along. Thanks again Fernando, and don't worry, I think the Connecticut would be right up your ally.

I had a Paul Gamarian do that to me a few years ago. I was able to pick it up and smoke it slowly about fifteen minutes later. Good smoke but too strong for my tastes.

Thor, I would like to rate your cigars. "send me cigars" Thanks

Thor,

That is a very nice offer. Thank you. I've sent you an e-mail. Have a nice weekend.

Ain't no RUSH but PM sent...

Sounds like a deal, LOVE a GOOD stogie !!!

Thor, sounds intriguing! Send me Cigars, along with a Wholesale list for later use(I own Distorted Services, Purveyor of Fine Cigars)

If Im not to late, I would like to try a couple. Always enjoy a good cigar. E mail sent

Don't forget, the folks at Cigar.com are going to need some solid feedback on the cigars. If you'd like, I'll help you guys out. Simply send me all your cigars and I'll lock myself in a room with a bottle of single malt, a notepad and pen, and comfortable chair. I won't come out till I'm done smoking them all. Then I'll give every one of you some feedback. Yes, I know. That is some seriously hard work. But I'm willing to do it for the cause. Sound like a plan? :D
