Hello All,
I am taking my father on a trip to Montana this year. I fear this might be the last because of his old age but hopefully not. I need to know the Best I mean the finest of the finest cigar I can buy for our trip. Price is no issue here. I want something that will keep in his memory forever. Thanks JRB

well if you want only the best pick up some fuente opus x. That is considered by most to be the best of the best for reputation and flavor.

Jordon, I don't know the answer to your question, but, Macallan for sure does. I just wanted to say nice touch on your part to plan such a grand trip! Regards

I with Kaz, nive touch of class. My father has had Lupus for over 15 years now, and the disease is really starting to win the battle over my father. Everytime I see my father, I make sure we make memories that will last a lifetime. I think even if you folks or loved ones are not old and frail or ill that is a good way to approach life don;t you think?

In regards to your cigar choices, somestically speaking, a box of Opus X's will do you wonderfully, I may also suggest the Anejo by fuente's as well. Both will be hard to find, and you pay a premium for them, but are very nice smokes. Across the borders, I would recommend:
Cohiba Esplendidos
Cohiba Sublimes Ed Limitada - Both of these are in the 500+ a box range

El Ray Del Mundo Choix Supremes - Great smoke 300+ a box

That's just off my head, Hope it helps!

Jordan,
PM me your phone number!
I am really busy the next week - but will take care of you!
I am sure I can find some cigars you & your dad will always remember!

Not only fantastic selections by all, but Castle Crest is without a doubt one of the most decent people around. Normally that would be saying a lot for me, because I desire to be away from most of the human race most of the time. In the case of Castle Crest, it is a flat out endorsement, because I've never met him, but I still know that he is what I said. When he says he'll take care of you, he means it. He's taken care of me more times than I can say, and I have yet to repay him properly.

He's probably going to give you a bunch from the list of everyone's suggestions.

There is always refuge, comfort and enjoyment in a castle.

Man, I feel like a tag allong today, but Bloof is right! Loren is by far one of the most stand up people I have ever met in cyber space, and hopefully some day, I'll make it up to actually toast a foot of something mice in person and share some life stories. At any rate, we all will take care of good poeple, so, if you need anything else, do not hesitate to ask because I promise you, with these guys and gals, you will get your requests 10 fold without question. Great board, great people.

Good luck with your father, I'll keep the prayers going for a few more years!

Regards,
Paul

You guys are making me Blush

I know we don't know each other, but something in what & they way you asked hit me right!

Heres the thing - I leave Monday for 4 days - if I don't hear from you before I go we can talk when I get back.
If you can wait that long?
I'll do my best to help you out and get you some cigars you will both remember for a long time!

I miss my dad & just my little way of doing something for fathers!

As for the others here - I do what I do because I enjoy it!
People I respect for what they share I share with.
I enjoy your exchange & so I do what I do!

Gifts are gifts & never trades!
CC :D

I'm afraid I have even more praise for CC...

You may remember a few months ago some monkey popped 3 bullets in my back. CC sent me some great cigars instantly which speeded up my recovery double time, including an incredble Opus X Fuente Fuente.

I too haven't had the chance to meet him - hopefully one day we'll change that and enjoy a nice smoke sometime :)

Great guy, great friend, great taste...nuff said!

Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!
 I guess I gots to slow down a little!
Truth be told - the cigar world has been so kind to me I could give away every cigar I have and never come close to repaying the kindness I have found.
What always gets me is that people that have gifted me in the pass made the same statements and said instead of repaying them pass it along to the next guy & so it lives on!
We each take care of the others and it grows!
Thanks for all the kind words it means a lot to me!
But what is a few cigars in compare to a guy that risks his very life to fight for freedom in this world.
A small gesture of thanks is all it is - I pleased if it helped to make you smile while you recovered from your injury!
My Pleasure!

Bloof, my fingers got the best of me!! CC has said it all. I was drawn into this hobby by the fantastic people I have met, many of them reside here. These are people that I can't wait to someday sit down over a glass of scotch and talk about all of our experiences within the hobby and outside. CC is just one of the Highly classy people on this board and I'm glad to see him getting his do respect. CigarSmoka, Macallen, Bildo, Bloof, Tiny Tim, MasterShaka and many many more are all contributors to my cigar madness!!

Respectfully yours,
Paul
