I'm headed to Grenada for a week, starting Saturday. I'd like to buy some good Central Am cigars while I'm there. Does anyone know of a good place to look?
I also wish to know what the legal limit is on bringing them back through customs. I think I heard it is 200 cigars, but I would like to hear from someone with actual experience.
Thanks...

Hornetguy...how's it going?

Welcome to the boards...Introduce yourself so we all get to know a little about you...

What do you like to smoke normally?

I have been to Granada, it's my favorite city in Spain...Unfortunately I don't know of any good tobacco shops, I actually didn't look while I was there...

I don't think you can really bring back any, anymore....I could be wrong.......

There are clever ways to bring back sticks though.......

Hey.. I've been here a few times, just lurking. I've been into cigars for about a year now. A couple of buddies got me started. I've learned a little by reading and "tasting". I tend toward the Dominicans, sometimes maduros, sometimes not. I really enjoy the Padrons, and the Perdomos. I generally like the corona sized smokes, but also like a good torpedo, or robusto sized.
I guess I'm not "sophisticated" enough to have a definite preference yet. I like a good variety.
I'd like to find that ever-elusive nice $1.00 long-filler cigar, but in reality, I'm finding I enjoy the $3.00 cigars more, for a good, relaxing type of smoke.
For the golf course, or the yard, I'm not quite that picky. Oliva originals are good for that.
I am holding off on trying the really nice 15-20 dollar smokes until my palate can really appreciate them... but I think I'm getting close.

Oh, and I'm going to the island of Grenada, not to Spain.

Just a heads up. If you are looking to buy Non Cubans while you are there then buy them now before you leave. You can bring 50 cigars or two cartons of cigs into spain tax free but you need to declare them.

If you wait to buy any non cubans in spain you will not only find them alomost impossible to come across but also twice the price you would pay here in the states.

If you are looking for any other cigars that from certain islands south of miami, then you will need to go to the habanos website to find any authorized retialers. Habanos are pretty inexpensive there last I checked.

again, this is the island of Grenada.. just above South America, that I'm going to. It's the one that hurricane Emily just went across last night. South of Puerto Rico.
Not in Spain.
