I just received my cigars of the month and am looking forward to trying some CAO cigars. I haven't had any of them before, and I just wanted to see what everyone's experiences have been. I also have a couple of the flavours in my humidor, Moontrance and Eileen's Dream. What are some of your impressions on flavoured cigars? CAO? Acid?

Personally, I don't like flavored cigars. (Somebody gave me a liquorice one at work yesterday, I said "thanks" and tossed it out!)Hmmmm......A liquorice (spelling?) cigar....... :bigpuke:

Chris, one of my favorite cigars is the CAO Gold, great draw, even burn, very consistent. I like all of the CAO line, but watch for the Brazilia and the Italia!

I still haven't gotten mine in the mail yet, but I'm a huge fan of the Brazillian and like the Gold. Haven't tried any of the others though!

Hope it gets here soon!

The flavored ones are good if you like that sort of thing. CAO infuses the flavors into the tabacco as they wrap the cigars unlike most other companies that just spray the tobacco. So CAO, in my opinion, makes the best flavored sticks.

As far as their other lines....
Gold...outstanding mild smoke.
Brazilia.....DAMN! Another outstanding one, just watch out!
I just bought the new CX2, MX2 and the Criollo. Haven't tried them yet but I hear great things about them all. All good medium smokes (except maybe for the MX2, it might be a little stronger).
I'll let you know.

I got an email last Saturday (10/1) saying that my COTMC has been shipped. Still no sign of it. Must not have been sent priority.

Anyway, CAO's are among my favorites. Brazilia, Black, Extreme, Maduro, Mx2, Criollo, Gold are all in my humi. I have tried the Eileen's Dream and found it ok. Would not add flavored sticks in my regular rotation.

I'll try to tone it down about flavored cigars, whether Drew Estates, Acid, Avanti's, you name it.

As for CAO, I love their premiums, especially the Cameroon, Gold, Black and Maduros. The eXtremes aren't bad either.

That might be interesting....if it were natural licorice. Licorice candies are often flavored with molasses, licorice extract, and anise. The cheap stuff has zero licorice content. Get some sticks of licorice root (at a well stocked healthfood store) and chew it for a treat. It's a much more subtle flavor than licorice candy, and nearly as addictive as caffiene and nicotine. I don't care for flavored cigars either. I might try a licorice flavored cigar though.

I enjoy the MX2 and gold most. Really don't care for the Brazilia too much. Its too one dimensional to me. I can't stand the CAO Black but thats another story. I have the Italia, Criollo, anniversaries (forget the name) in the humi but haven't had them yet.

The Gold and the Mx2 are two of my favorite smokes. The Mx2 is hard to beat . . .

Chris

The CAO Gold is a great mild smoke and the Brazilia is another great smoke. I am not sure why people are saying to watch out for the Brazilia though. I personally don't like the CAO Blacks that much... something weird about them.

I found the Brazilia to be a little strong and did not expect that when I first lit it up.

The Golds are really nice and smooth..

I really liked the Italia - started out nice and spicy and then mellowed out - nice smoke.

Still waiting for mine to come in the mail!!!

Excited though - haven't tried all of these yet...

The other night my girlfirends sister wanted to try a flavored cigar....so she smoked a Kahlua Rob...that cigar smelled and tasted like chocolate cake, no tobacco flavor...Pretty good if you want that flavor......

I'd rather eat cake though....

Anyone else still waiting for their COTMC to arrive?

I hope that is the only thing I've missed. I usually try to acknowledge anything I receive from individuals via PM as soon as I can.
