A pound of heartfelt beads and a cooler...good enough? Or do I need to get an oasis? I need more space and have decided it's not all that practical to buy a cabinet at this point. Right now, I'd rather spend the 100 bucks on a box of cigars than an oasis. Any opinion is appreciated as always. Thanks

i have a 120 qt cooler and only use beads and have no probs with it other than i need a bigger one. oh well gotta smokem faster i guess.

I don't have a coolerdor, but I do have an oasis. The oasis will introduce humidity, but will not remove it. Unless the cooler was huge and did not seal well, I would not use an oasis. Even if it didn't ever come on, I think it would cause too much of a potential to overhumidify as there is still standing water in it.

Been using beads for awhile...I'll never use anything else.

Thanks for the input, guys! Looks like I am going shopping for a cooler in the next couple weeks. I knew I should have just put that first cigar down and run away 8)

Got to smas for the cooler. You can get a large one for like 70 bucks

I'll have to check that out..thanks again. I am thinking of a 120 qt too. My first instinct was that that was too large, but I think I learned my lesson on thinking I couldn't fill space up.

Do you have to have a membership to shop at smas???

Wally world is another good place to get one, and while you are there you can get the hygrometer also.

If you don't think the seal on the cooler is air tight you can run duck tape along the edges to make it tighter. I did this for mine and it worked awesome. Now it has an almost water tight seal.
